The first featured artist to exhibit at Studio 3 is an Artist from Tortola in the British Virgin Islands called Aragorn. Aragorns works include techniques such as pottery, print making, design and metal work. Complementing this with a degree in Tribal and Twentieth Century Art History gained at the University of East Anglia, Aragorn includes ideas and images of art from around the world. He uses self taught techniques in cutting, hammering, polishing and patinating copper. His work work reflects his close relationship with the nature of the Caribbean through a talent for blending naïve beauty and powerful symbolism. |
